Our goal was to create a video that introduced the international heavy-hitters arriving in the States while building hype for the most bombastic phase of the tournament. To end on a grand note, we worked with Riot to envision a full Times Square takeover. Since replacing the massive digital signage practically was impossible, we executed the transformation entirely in post through screen compositing. The natural rain on the day of filming added cinematic beauty — but also complexity — helping the piece culminate in a dramatic takeover moment that perfectly captured the spectacle of Worlds.
